CNCC is fortunate enough to have a long-standing foundation whose mission is to help students with the expense of college.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The CNCC Foundation was formed in 1979 to expand the college&#8217;s resources through grants, corporate\/individual gifts, and special fundraising events. The Foundation exists to ensure the financial sustainability of the college, a vital institution in Northwest Colorado. The Foundation\u2019s mission is to use ethical and effective fundraising practices to support CNCC in its commitment to provide accessible, affordable, quality education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Foundation support enables CNCC to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Enhance Current Instructional Programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Develop New Instructional Programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Improve College Facilities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Offer Student Scholarships<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Fund Special Projects outside of the scope of traditional funding sources<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The Foundation is governed by a voluntary board of business and community leaders from across Northwest Colorado, and offers a wide variety of scholarships through the CNCC Foundation. Most of the scholarships are program or campus specific.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_36\" style=\"width: 2570px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-36\" class=\"wp-image-36 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/cncc.mycareerfocus.org\/spring-2024-volume-2-issue-1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/12\/Scholarships-Graphic-01-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"2048\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-36\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans'; font-size: 10pt;\">Amount of scholarships awarded to CNCC students in past 5 years.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The CNCC foundation is utilizing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.awardspring.com\/\">AwardSpring<\/a> management software to facilitate the application process for Scholarships. Students can find the link to which scholarships are available each semester by visiting the CNCC website and <a href=\"https:\/\/cncc.edu\/admissions\/scholarship-central\">Scholarship Central<\/a>. Financial Aid and Student Services also notify students when scholarship applications open each semester. Students are encouraged to check their student email frequently to see if any new scholarships are available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The CNCC Foundation is lead by Keely Ellis, Executive Director of Advancement\/Foundation Director, and is a huge advocate of education and educational access. CNCC\u2019s Financial Aid team, comprised of Merrie Byers (<a href=\"mailto:merrie.byers@cncc.edu\">merrie.byers@cncc.edu<\/a>) and Jessica Wollman (<a href=\"mailto:Jessica.wollman@cncc.edu\">Jessica.wollman@cncc.edu<\/a>) are here to help serve CNCC students.
